On June 14, 2022, at the 2021-2022 (5th Session) China IC Unicorn Selection Event co-hosted by CCID Consulting Co., Ltd. and Beijing Xinhehui Technology Co., Ltd., Alkaidsemi (Shanghai) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. was awarded the "IC Unicorn" honor in the integrated circuit design field.
This selection campaign focused on outstanding enterprises across all segments of China's IC industry, including IC design, application technologies, chip manufacturing, packaging/testing, materials, and equipment. Competitiveness evaluation and investment value assessment were conducted through a combination of industrial evaluation models and expert panel scoring.
Spanning two months, the campaign attracted over 300 enterprises. After preliminary review, 93 companies were shortlisted. Following deliberation by the review panel, a total of 46 IC Unicorn enterprises were selected, including 13 carry-over unicorns from previous sessions and 33 newly selected ones.
Leveraging its industry-leading experience and technology, Shanghai YaoXin Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was listed on the "2021-2022 (5th Session) China IC Unicorn List".
Founded in 2019, the company specializes in R&D, production, and sales of power devices and intelligent sensor chips. It has two product lines: power devices and MEMS sensors + signal chain chips, while continuously expanding into third-generation power semiconductors and other products.
In the power devices sector, YaoXin Microelectronics offers both silicon-based and silicon carbide-based products, widely applied in consumer electronics, industrial control, automotive, and other fields covering high-, medium-, and low-voltage applications. Its silicon-based power devices have been adopted by automotive/Tier1 customers and passed AEC-Q101 certification, while SIC MOSFET products have successfully taped out and entered the customer verification phase. In the MEMS + signal chain field, multiple mass-produced products feature performance parameters matching international leading standards, with cumulative sales exceeding 200 million units.
Winning the "IC Unicorn" honor not only recognizes YaoXin Microelectronics' capabilities but also signals confidence in its future development.
